Caitriona Balfe was ‘So Obliged’ to star in the time travelling love Story “Outlander” for more than a decade with people “who have seen them more than my (her) family”
The actress looked adorable with her outfit for the premiere of her latest 99 minutes run movie “The Cut” at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) held on Friday, September 06. The movie is set to feature Orlando Bloom(47), John Turturro(67) and Caitriona Balfe(44).
During a Q&A session held with Variety Caitriona reveals the cast is filming the final season of Outlander series. “about month left to shoot” The actress, after an intensive search in 2013, to play the married combat nurse in 1900s, was selected after many screen tests.
“it’s going to be so sad to say good bye to everybody.. It’s going to be so sad to say good-bye to this character that’s completely changed my career” continued Balfe.
Balfe was previously a part time model. She began her modeling career when she was 18. From the age of 18 – 21 she walked in for more than 250 runway shows.
Caitriona shared how much she loved every moment with the rest of the cast. The behind the scenes of Outlander while filming, are great to watch. “so I’ve literally seen everybody that I work with more than I’ve seen my family and anything else. You know these people are who I spend every day with so it’s going to be so sad to say good bye to everybody”
“But it’s also an exciting time. You know its nice to step into an unknown and to see what’s the possibilities might be” continued Balfe. Claire in Outlander is a strong woman. She came through so many hardships according to the books and the television adaption. Caitriona Balfe is a nice actress of enduring both the hard times and good times in life.
