Starz has announced the long-awaited US release of The Couple Next Door for Winter 2024. Sam Heughan comes to your screen as a cop with hidden story to unfold.
Previously released in many countries worldwide in 2023, this six part limited series is the story of a young couple, Evie and Pete, (Eleanor Tomlinson & Alfred Enoch), who develop an unusual and dangerous friendship with their new neighbors, Danny and Becka, (Sam Heughan & Jessica De Gouw) when they move to an affluent neighborhood.
It is “a deliciously dark, psychological drama, exploring the claustrophobia of suburbia and the fallout of chasing your deepest desires,” according to Starz.
“The main theme of the show is desire and what happens when ordinary people cross their own moral boundaries,” says executive producer Jo McGrath. Outlander fans may recognize some of Jamie Fraser’s signature traits in Sam’s role as Danny, but in a whole new way.
